Trail Blazing Stories of African Americans
Funded by a grant from the Maryland Heritage Areas Authority, African-American History in Prince George’s County & Anacostia Trails Heritage Area was developed in 2008 to introduce visitors to the history and culture of the region related to African-American life.


Civil Rights Trail
As a new heritage installment in Prince George’s County, the Civil Rights Trail seeks to educate the public on the history of the Civil Rights movement and its activism throughout the county.
