Recorrido a pie por el arte público histórico de Hyattsville

Join the Anacostia Trails Heritage Area on a new walking tour focusing on public artworks in Historic Downtown Hyattsville.

The tour, led by Tantara Person, features a variety of artworks commissioned by nonprofit organizations, private businesses, and local government initiatives. The tour begins at Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, one of the major art centers in The Gateway Arts District. It is home to ATHA’s Heritage Center and serves as an origin point to connect visitors and residents to the cultural, historic, and cultural resources that make Historic Hyattsville and The Gateway Arts District a unique destination to see, play, dine, learn, and to take tons of great selfies! In addition, attendees can rack up points on the Hyattsville CDC Trolley Trail Passport Program. The passport features 18 handcrafted food & drink venues that are trail accessible along the Route One Corridor in Hyattsville and beyond – a win win!

The walking tour begins and ends at 4318 Gallatin Street, Hyattsville, MD 20781. Please wear comfortable walking shoes and clothing appropriate for the weather. The tours proceed rain or shine, unless otherwise notified. Should you have any questions, feel free to check in with Valerie Woodall at valerie@anacostiatrails.org or 301-887-0777.

Note: There is a $15 suggested donation, but please feel free to give what you wish.
